How California measures performance

CAASPP (Smarter Balanced) tests in ELA and Math for grades 3–8 and 11.
ELPAC tests English learner proficiency.
CAST is the science test (grades 5, 8, and high school).
The CA Dashboard combines these with absenteeism, suspensions, and graduation into a color-coded status across 13 indicators.
